on pretty much all the writeups ive seen they say you need to remove the rear uprights...... this is not true, it make the whole process take much longer.... this is usually said to give access to the 4 back bolts holding the hub to upright....

if you slightly modify a socket, it makes the rear conversion a peice of cake...

you can grind the edge off all the way around, or just on one side and make sure that side is towards your axle....

just thought it might be a help to some!

i did not have a single problem on my s13 rears...just backed out the axle and it gives enough/plenty of access for the 4 rear bolts.

with the rear of the car in the air, i left it in neutral, and let go of the parking brake, and just spun the axle by hand... there is cut aways that lets you fit a full size impact socket on the bolt.

Exactly. You don't need to remove any suspension or drivetrain components to install it.

Remove rear uprights, LMAO.
