i just finished up my tranny swap about 2 weeks ago and everything went pretty good (id like to thank alan at www.project240.com for all his help)
now all of a sudden when i push the clutch in to shift gears there is a grinding noise that sounds like something is loose...the cluth pedal feels a little soft (like it could be a little firmer) but it seems to engage the slave cylinder all the way
i jacked up the car and tried to figure out what it could be, but i didnt see anything...
could it be the throw out bearing? (are you supposed to grease the actual bearings or just the inner part? it didnt say in the FSM)
or what else could it be? what should i look for? could it be something wrong with the clutch, pp, or flywheel?
anything i can do to narrow down the possiblities for all of ya let me know
thanks
