I have a 93 silvia front 240sx with red top sr20. car was perfect untill about 2 weeks ago, yes i run the car hard.. The problem im having is smoke pores in the car at full boost around 5,500rmps and up and feel a littl slugesh.. first guess would be turbo seals what yall think? its a red top sr20 greddy turbo manifold acl race bearings polished crank and gt28 turboed tuned on 12psi.... but a friend riding behing me said not much smoke come from the exhust just from engine bay?

check your intercooler pipes. if there is a lot of oil in them, your turbo seals are bad. if you have an oil catch can, check the oil level in it. if there is more than normal, you might have some bad piston rings. smoke in the engine bay is usually caused by a leaking valve cover gasket that lets oil drip onto the exhaust manifold or smoke from the air filter on the oil catch can.

I have no chech can ill check it out..now I did switch oil went from moblie 1 full synthetic to rotella could this be the problem? I switched bc all my friends talked me out of synthetic and into rotella be that's what they used and works fine and lets face it its a lot cheaper

Rotellol

why the hell would you run a 15w40 oil...

clearances are so tight on our engines, that your basic non synthetic 5w30 is MORE than good enough to keep it properly lubricated.

you should be more concerned with your PCV system operating properly, and the turbo seals, bearings, valve guides / valve seals could be going out.. burning oil at high rpms could be piston rings too..
