Looks like an s13 open from those pictures. It will fit you just have to change the cover to yours and it'll be fine.

Damn I was told it was from a Z32 or skyline... no sticker on it but it was really greasy so I hit it with degreaser and hosed it off. it could have had a sticker under all that built up grease... how can I check?

Open up the back! We need to see the guts. Besides you are gonna wanna swap the fluid anyways.

AFAIK the S13 was the only one that has solid front mounts correct? S14/J30/Z32/R3X all have the bushing in the front.

^ yes you are correct. s13 was sold. thats an s13 diff.

OP: a quick quick way to tell if its a VLSD is to spin the output shafts opposite of eachother. you really have to put some force into it. if it spins slowly its a viscous. if its completely locked its some kind of aftermarket.

I popped mine open when i got mine. paid 300 bucks for a 2 way. condition and brand unknown. kind of a grab bag deal. i was happy to find a very fresh tomei 2 way inside. just a few shavings on the drain and very clean odor free fluid.
