just got the car was wondering a few things, i know i'm posting over the internet and you cant actually see/hear/feel my car but i'm gonna try to describe them. :)

1. Boost leak: Blacktop SR stock t28, tuned on ENTHALPY ecu for 14lbs but since there is a boost leak it only hits about 7lbs and runs very very rich you can smell fuel bad when boosting. you can hear the turbo start to spool then its like a leaking sound kinda like an air tool with a bad seal it leaks.

2. Either the TC tensioner is bad or the TC guide is broken. it sounds bad!!! vw diesel sounding except louder. only happens at idle i can rev it to 1k and quiet normal sounding. any ideas? i'm gonna replace the tensioner first b/c its a cheaper than opening up the front cover and all that PITA stuff :)

anyhelp?

boost leak will be the biggest factor in seeing if it runs right, at idle it can even affect the way it performs. STart by doing a boost leak test, and actually pressure test it.

Sr20's are maf based and so they add fuel based on how much air flow, if the air is leaking before it reaches the cylinder its gonna dump fuel, run rich and poopy

What part of Carolina are you from. If your close to Tidewater I can take a look at it for you. I'm always looking for side work and my buddy has a stock pile of parts.

Near Charlotte. My good friend is a master tech at toyota, i had him briefly look over the car. his hands are tied on putting my car on a life during business hours, sometimes even after. But hes mostly my go to guy but i could always use a new 240 friend lol i used to have a 04 Z way less pick than this car but also way slower lol
