ive resently been rubuilding an sr20 i picked up for my s13 and even though it was one of the imports that had low miles on it i wanted to rebuld it anyway make it run new, but ive been reading on how to break them in here and there. theres some that say easy break in where you treat it like a baby and then there was one sight that caught my eye. said that you need to warm the car completely and run it hard in accel and let it engine decel hard? which would be better?

Break In Secrets--How To Break In New Motorcycle and Car Engines For More Power (http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm)

any help would be apreciated

raise hell man.. Drive it like you stole it.. use non-synthetic oil and change it at 500 miles then again at 1500 then use your synthetic you would normally use

with todays high degree of precision in machining, id say its better to run it hard for break in, you want to make sure the new rings properly seal inside the cylinder.
if you drive it nice and baby it you wont get the best wear needed for a fresh rebuild.
