Infiniti G35 - AWD (http://www.infiniti.com/content/0,3323,cid-31106_sctid-52321,00.html?CurrentState=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Einfi niti%2Ecom%2Fcontent%2F0%2C%2Ccid%2D30648%5Fsctid% 2D12001%2C00%2Ehtml&SourcePage=MDL%3AG35%3AHome%3A%3A%3AMDLG35Home)
It looks like Infiniti is offering the G35 sedan in an AWD option. I wonder if this is the platform Nissan might use when introducing the next generation of the Skyline. I wonder if this is the same electronically controlled AWD platform that we've seen in past Skylines? I'd LOVE to have a G35 Coupe with a Skyline-like AWD.
Mmmmm.
Reading more and more it seems that this is a similar, if new, version of that WONDERFUL Skyline AWD. Rear-wheel for daily use, and All-Wheel when you need it. Gotta love it.

Old News actually. When I got the G35, I knew this was in the works. The G35 coupe is a refined automobile but in many ways the old S-13 has some properties I like better. For one the G-35 sits higher than I like both in the seat and the ground clearence. Also their is considerable weight in the front of the G35, it is slightly nose heavy and the rear sticks a shade longer than I like and when it does turn loose, it does it with vengence rather than equal control. Also my Original S-13 was faster than the G-35 off the line and in the quarter. The G-35 pays too much attention to being "nice and cushy" with not enough "jar" in a speedshift as if it is all rubber coupled. I like some metal on metal force to back up the power at times.
It will be a fine car but it better sport over 325HP stock..just to compete with a mid 200 horse S-13.
remember when the 240ZX went to the 260 then the 280 and then the 2+2 280? Remember the nature of the old 280ZX being a "boat" and not near as nimble as a 240Z? Well I hope they put some real guts and steel in the R type Sky. The Japanese Sky and My G-35 is the same car. The 4WD will add even more weight. They must put serious power in it to be a boarderline supercar as the G-34 Sky IS!

nah the sedan comes with less 260 and the coupe has 280. But it is most likely only minor differences to the sedan since its the same engine as the coupe and 350z which has 287hp

Small things like exhaust make tiny HP differences between the coupe and the Z.

My friend in TN the works at motor mavricks put his car on the dyno and actually made 10hp more with a g35 coupe, than a guy who brought in a 350z with i/e.
