so my question is simple.

what are the longest lasting tires out there for a drift day? im looking at either nexen n3000 or achilles atr sport. the size i need is 245 40 18.

im looking for the cheapest longest lasting tire on the market that i can just last all day on one set almost.

any reviews or links to cheap tires would help guys. thanks!

if you run directional tires backwards you get better results with most tires. most tires that delam won't if you do so

Ya used tires are most likely best bang for your buck if you got a good hookup.

sunny sn3800 are $63 for 215/40/17. i personally like them

most tires that delam won't if you do so
havent heard of tires delaminating in years, that isn't really a problem for passenger cars anymore

yes. nexen n3000. still the longest lasting tires i've used. Nankang fell apart after 3 laps. Federals last half the time as nexens. Falken 502's last half as much as federals...

how long have you been drifting? :picardfp:

most passenger cars dont delam but just in case you didnt know. it is possible when drifting. happens a lot.. had a buddy get a very nice set of toyo tires.. they didnt last a half a run before it separated.

tires delaminate because they are over heated. The rubber seperates from the metal cords.

People run them backwards for less friction (easier to drift). Tires have less likely to delaminate cause the design is to get grip moving a certain direction....if you over heat a tire that the "design" of the tread is to grip, and the metal overheats, its more likely to delaminate(seperate) because it's getting more friction on the road.....make sense?

The nankangs ns1 delaminated 3rd lap on horsethief.....My Stock KA was just too beast for them I guess.

A good simple tip. The higher the speed rating, the better "heat" each tire can dissapate. But that doesn't mean they'll last forever.

Nexen N3000....tends to last a whole day at balcony. I usually go through 2-3 sets of federals...but they grip more for sure.

OP, it appears you already know the answer to your question haha.

To be constructive though, here are some I wouldn't recommend.

ToyoProxes4, KumhoAST, or FalkenZE912. All prematurely delaminated for me. Especially the Kumho's. I was pissed lol. Could just be poor experiences but that's my opinion.

Long story short Nexen and Achillies for the win.
