first 2 wires are from the thermo in the lower radiator hose
then you have the plugs which were spliced into the fans/thermo
3rd are the 2 cables from the first fan
4th are the 2 cables from the second fan

use thermo switch, kicks on whenever u set the temperature automatically... they sell kits at napa, carquest, etc

well thats what it did on my other s14. the thermo in the lower radiator hose is set for a specific temp, not sure what. im a wiring noob and gotta see which wires go where lol

How is that a waste? Its probably the best Fan Controller on the Market. I have it on my RB25 S14 Keeps my RB at a Steady 80*C with minimum power Draw

I guess... Idk it was spliced together somehow when I had the rb in my other shell and im just looking for a cheap way out.

All I can add is that those 2 plugs u grabbed in the vid behind the headlight the smaller black one is for the AC canister

Yea I don't remember how they were spliced but one of those plugs was used.

Yes it was most likely used for a power source like a key on acc.. With my DIF fans I had to tie into a plug that was extra from my igniter chip... That had a "on" source just use a multi meter with key off and then key on that's what that's for

my fans stayed on even if the car shut off, just until they cooled the engine down, then they shut off automatically

yup mine do that as well but not for long around 5-10 seconds tops. Are u running a fan controller, I can post a pic of the wiring diagram if it will help u

I didn't even know this one existed! I've only seen the cheaper DIF controllers. I guess I never really looked for a better one either though. Wish I could afford to pick that one up right now. Guess it'll have to get put on the wish list. ha

i just have that thermo switch and 2 fans.
in the previous 240 that i had it in, the switch and fans were hooked up together and also spliced into the plug thats behind the passenger headlight/right next to the radiator.
read the first post for all the info
also, where the hell would i fit a clutch fan????? lol

I agree. But my car runs way too cold now lol. Unless its warm outside....haha

IIRC the RB25 swap doesn't leave enough room for the factory clutch fan set up. So most people run electric fans.
I really have no clue though what your issue is?

You make room...hahaha

You make room...hahaha
True, but it's easier to just wire up some electric fans.
Making room most likely requires relocating the radiator a few inches further away from the motor. Which requires notching the core support.

i swapped the motor into a new s14 shell and i dont have the fans hooked up. i have the thermo switch in the radiator piping, the 2 fans, and i have to hook it up somehow

So wire it up! Ground the two grounds on your fans. Wire the positives to your switch? I don't see how it's that difficult.

you can actually fit the stock clutch fan without hacking or relocating anything. get an rb25 clutch fan and shroud and use a stock s14 radiator. normally the stock shroud is very slimm. have seen a few of my buddies use it on there s chassis and takes away the headaches.just my :2c:

Although I was in the same boat with the clutch fan and liked it, I had over cooling issues where my fan is on always and wouldn't let the car heat up to normal temps, causing me to run Rich and waste gas mileage. So had to go with electric fans and love them...

Yes it does. And its a pita to figure out new mounting points for the radiator but its well worth it in the end.

ok so now i have the fans and that thermo switch which is already in the lower radiator hose.
can i use one of the stock relays or just buy a separate one? i just dont want a fan controller and not a manual switch, i want them to turn on and off automatically
