Yes this my first post, lurking hardcore I know. My ride is a 1990 s13 240sx w/91 sr20det swap, MT, and have AEM standalone, if any addtnl info about car is needed let me know. Introductions are overrated in my opinion, so ill just dive right in...I need to replace my starter and trying to decide, new oem(yes expensive but w.e.) or oe replacement(isis, mushimoto, etc.,). Let's hear the pros and cons, first hand experieces, and any other applicable information. Any and all information/suggestions are extremely appreciated!

Get a ka24e HITATCHI starter from your local autoparts store. Swap the the shit over.

New to starters, don't know too much bout em. What all do I need to switch over from sr to ka. Just change adapter plate or?....and are all the specs the same?...did search a bit for related info didn't find any. If you could shoot me a link that you know of that would be TITS !

Have you, or anyone you know used an isis starter? If so, how does it compare to the oem one? At less than half the price of the oem one, cant help but question capability.

Enjuku is always the first place I look for parts, considering their great customer service. Also, they're based in my home state of Florida. They sell the oem one for $459, and the isis for $180. This was partly the basis of this thread. I was curious to know if the quality and performance was comparable. I'm really not trying to have to replace this starter again.
