Seems like they're just re-using the Datsun name, and their products will have no discernible resemblance to the Datsuns of old. Unless they can design the exterior to reflect the dinosaur Datsun image lol. Nissan surely isn't using the "antiquated" (he used that word too much) carburetor technology.

From what I am understanding America will be included as well. But, you are right, it's main focus will be on smaller markets. And smaller cars. Better put: it seems like they are beating around the bush and only "hinting at the idea that the Datsun badge and department will be for "alternative" fueled or electric vehicles. That's a good thing though as it means Nissan is now in position to be its "sports" market ( think getting a new S-chassis re-invented) and Infiniti can now take on souly luxury-sport and luxury cars and SUV's. At least that is the route I would take
