So I've been running my car on 550's, an s15 dbb t28, and power Fc for a long while now on this motor that I bought from this thread:
http://zilvia.net/f/sale-items/380277-cheap-cheap-s15-sr.html
The add list PDM 262 268 cams. I had picked up a Vct sprocket and in trying to figure out if it would work I contacted PDM directly. I got a quick response that informed me they never produced cam shafts for the sr20 motor. It's odd because the valve springs, retainers, and rest of the motor seem to be what they are supposed to be.
This made me pull my valve cover and the only markings on these cams are shown in the pics bellow. Both cams have the same stamps, only the intake cam has the white line.
My tune appt is on saturday. The car now has an hks gt2835r on a wisesquare equal length manifold, a greddy intake upper plenum, and denso 850 injectors.
If it is stock cams how screwed am I??? I loved the curve with the s15 turbo. We hit about 275 at the wheels on a dyno pack which reads low. I was hoping to not have crazy lag and hit somewhere around 330-350.

Stock cams will be okay...not for a crazy power tune but you should be able to hit 330. Make cams the next thing to purchase for your car though. Haha.

Did you compared these to your stock cams as far as the markings? I dont recognize the markings, dont look like stock cams tho. Why dont you get the cams measured to see what the specs are?

I don't have stock cams to compaire them with. I have a set of distroied hks 272's at home but I've never had a stock sr cam. This is how the motor came and I was trusting his spec list. That's actually why I posted this, kinda hoping someone has stock cams at home to compaire my pics too. I'm not tuning this set up with stock cams. My tuner has a set of staggered greddy cams. 258 in 264 ex with 11.6 lift that he'll sell me. I just need to be sure my bc springs and retainers can handle that amount of lift.

Agreed measuring will help you out... They don't look stock to me either...

Oh that makes me feel SO much better. Have you two delt with a lot of sr cams?
I don't own a micrometer. I asked a friend to borrow one more then a week ago. Damn unreliable 240 people.
I'll def have my tuner measure before I spend all the money on the greddy cams. I might just toss them in anyways. At least I know for sure that the vtc sprocket will work with the greddy's and it'll be nice to know what's actually in my motor.

I know the aftermarket cams in my SR have the part number from the manufacturer around the front. The larger diameter section, just behind the gear, and in front of the first cap. Engraved there. Might roll the engine over a couple times and check that. I know on mine you can see it clearly installed, just have to rotate the engine and look.

One of those cams says 53J, that's seems like a stock cam number. I'll dig up my stock S14 cams later and let you know.

The tune day has come and gone and I figured I'd post some pics of the dyno, set up, and one of the car for all that helped.
My tuner (Koji is the man) thought these were some sort of after market cams but the did not have the oiling hole for a Vct sprocket. So we installed the greddy 258/264 11.6 cams that were in there display case.
Set up is an s15 sr20det, hks gt2835r, wisesquare equal length manifold, full 3 inch exhaust, Tomei fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator, greddy type-r front mount, upper intake plenum, cams (specs above), and o2 housing, bc springs and retainers, denso 850cc injectors (fd secondary's), and the all important power Fc
The used Vct sprocket is already rattling. I'll be buying a brand new one from ray at west Covina Nissan as soon as I catch back up.
