Just wanna get a lil feedback before i slap anything on my car... RICE or NICE, or both? One was shot w/ faster shutter speed to get a pic of it w/ the HID on. And the last one looks ever so sweet w/o the front glass on...

Nice..i need to talk to you about how you got your stuff apart..lol also somethign i've been told along the way is that some guys in japan have wet sanded the glass smooth from the inside to make it clear..dunno if you wanna spend the time to do it but it would be worth it on the projectors. looks liek you've been hanging out on hidforum.com

i think this is a horrible annology for why things should or should not be put on a car...

if we were to adhere to this philosophy there would be no aftermarket industry...

#1 its a lighthearted post and you think too much
#2 rice is attitude, not a particular mod. of course *some* mods will tell you something about the attitude of the driver.

this is my car and i m selling it already found alot of people that want to buy it is pretty much sold i dont want to jinx it and i worked and saved up and fixed up my car and no one has ever told me that i drive a rice and i can say that my car is rare because there is only 200 of them.
i spent only 3000 on the car after i bought it was all stock i could beat most wrx on the freeway the car runs 14.7 qmile i m sad that i m selling it just wanted to share that i think u guys are all gonna make fun of me and say that i dont know what i m talking about or something well i think i m just blowing up after seeing all these ridiculous cars just go in car domain and check out the civics in there some people are so dumb and they dont have any taste....

The above is correct....the term "rice" which folks absolutley love to throw out every chance they get, is just to express thier dislike for something nowadays. I can't possibly see why some simple headlight modifications could be classified as "rice". The fella who made the statement about how it should have been kept on the BMW....ummm....ok....BIG DEAL. I can just feel the stupidity.

1) Who cares what kind of wheels you have. I have fucking 12 wheels in my storage right now and 4 more on the way, do you think I care what people think of my car or my wheels?

2) Who cares what kind of car you drive or what kind of car you are going to put yourself on the line for by getting a LOAN to buy a car you cannot afford? Its a new car, if you need one buy one -- but dont talk as if thats something special, because we can all get loans OR just pay flat out for a new car.

3) I drive a 240SX not just by choice, but also because its a kickass car for the money and I am smart enough to realize that. I think most educated 240SX owners appreciate the car for its value and worth, not for its drift-appeal and how it will look phat with rare over-priced parts and wheels.

Interesting sidenote, when I was at TAS all the cars were fixed up with LOTS of super expensive parts. To me, it wasnt the Lamborghini Diablo with twin turbo V12 that impressed me, it was the time and craftsmanship that went into fabricating the turbo conversion for that vehicle. I hate hearing people talk as if brands make a car -- its time, skill, and knowledge.. that is what makes a car special.

Anyway, this is a stupid topic and I think the rings in the headlights are nice if the owner likes them -- I am sure he does since he put a lot of work into them. Would I put them on my car? Probably not..

Besides.. I had LED rings on projectors year back, I took them out because they attracted too much attention from the Civic/Integra "looks phat yo" type of people. I want my car to have a more sporty/classy appeal. I've seen those prismatic rings installed on everything from Camry to Accord.. it loses its appeal especially since they use prismatic rings.

same mod + question, 2 different owners. let's say its a sr20 swap. one owner #1 uses it for road coursing cuz he just wasn't getting any faster on the ka. restrictive useful rpm range, torquey but no high end and high mileage ka drove him in the direction of the sr20. owner #2 got a sr20 because he heard about it in super street and decided that his car wouldn't be mad tyte without it. after swap, he drives around like an asshole (except the engine makes him even more dangerous now), and makes sure everyone in a 3 block radius can hear his blow off valve. he also pops the hood everytime he parks pretending 'to check the internals,' but what he really wants is all the hookt up cars around him to see his shiny red valve cover. u see its the same mod (the sr), but whether its ricer-ish is totally dependent on the attitude of the driver.

i'm not on the forum 24/7, but i've seen enough of meowth to guess that he doesn't really fit in the above definition. i also agree with every1 else that rice is a bad word simply b/c its too subjective. but its so fun to say!
