Ok so I've had my share of 240sx. but for the first time I've grabbed my hands on a 91 s13 super hicas with abs shell . All my other 13's have never had abs or the hicas set up I'm planin on 5 speed swap and swapping everything from my old 13 to the new. Witch one swap over is 5 lug with 300z brakes. My question is am I gonna run into problems or will it swap over no probs.

Every thing should swap over from your old s13 set up no problems. I personally would swap out your non hicas rear sub frame out so you have a fixed rear end. You will also need to use your non hicas power steering pump if you do that. And enjoy your beefy sway bars. they are as big as most after market ones with OEM quality.

Thanks man!! yeah I've been hearing a lot of bad things about the hicas system. I personally don't mess around like I used to. So ima give it a try and see how it feels. And I did notice the beefy bars when I took the motor out. I was just worried about the z brakes and ABS. I know that part numbers change up between stock ABS and regular 240sx calipers. So I thought it might mess with the calipers a different way.

Just keep the calipers and rotors together. The ABS vs. non-ABS is just a size difference. the HICAS car will have ABS sensors on the uprights and I think the rings are on the hubs. Depending on how the 5 lug swap is done, you should be able to keep the ABS parts on the car so I still functions. The ABS diff and driveshaft are different so if you do swap the rear subframe, keep the diff with the car.

I know the diff is LSD compared to regular s13. But you say the drive shaft is diff? I really hope it's not cuz the cars auto and I was gonna swap over the 5 speed. And I did hear something about the abs being attached the hubs. Ima just gonna have to go through the motions and see.

The ABS sensor is in the nose of the diff making the diff case itself longer, so the driveshaft is shorter.

That makes sense. cuz I did have to use a slightly diff method to take the bolts off. that hold drive shaft and diff. There wasn't as much space to get my wrench in.

If you do not have a ABS 5speed drive shaft you should be able to break both your auto and 5speed drive shafts down. bolt the 5speed front to the auto abs rear and you will have the right length. I personally have never done this but I heard it can be done.
