1997 Kouki 121k Miles, Clean Title, Original 5 speed, SE Pearl White For Sale

I bought this car with the intention of turning it into a weekend track car. However, I changed my priorities and I no longer have the time to invest in it. I purchased this from a good guy a month and a half ago but now I'm looking to sell it.

Price: I don't have a solid asking price. Shoot me offers as I know the market is not saturated with real 97/98 koukis, let alone 5 speed, low miles and clean title.
Title: Clean, please refer to Carfax and Autocheck below. I made this ad with the intention of making it as easy as possible for the buyer. I can give you the VIN for you to double check, I have nothing to hide.
Trans: Original 5 speed, no swap
Mileage: 121k on the dot.
Engine: Stock as shit KA24DE
Trim: SE, comes with sunroof, power everything
Color: Pearl White and it's in amazing condition for a 15 year old car.

What needs to be changed: It will not pass smog as is. The EGR valve is stuck wide open, you will need to change it. Car idles really bad because of this. I just changed one injector and all spark plugs after I bought it due to 3rd cylinder misfiring, but now it's fixed. I ran a compression test before I bought it and it gave me 205/200/205/205 (there's a shitload of carbon build up), so feel free to bring your own to confirm these numbers.

Conditions of Sale: I am selling as is, buyer will be responsible for smog. If I do not get what I am asking for, I will keep it.

What's bad: This car is completely stock except for the tanabe exhaust. The stock radio display is broken (seriously.. a stock radio). The passenger window does not work and that's it.

It's worth arround 6.5k in exellent condition according to KBB so 4.5k is not too rediculous of an offer. Whether other ppl will sell at that price is not important at all. Everyone thinks a 97,98 worths 7k or 10k+ only because some insane ppl r willing to pay that much but not most of us. At least that's wat I think. Best move to clear things up is give an obo price if you know how much you want.

For those inquiring, my family actually own 4 hondas (great cars), and that blue TL behind the 240 is my daily. I've been to autocross with a miata and driven hondas (s2k, civics, preludes, and accords) but there is just something about koukis that make me want to compulsively buy another 1 after selling my 95. I'm not too concern about making money off this car as I make enough money to purchase 10 of these every year (if they are available and in good condition). One of the biggest reasons I am selling is because I know I will put in a shitload of money into this car and it will not be justifiable 5 years later, in other words, "a fucking money pit."

Judging from the amount of offers (10 in the last 12 hours), I can gauge the interest in this car and yes it is pretty high. The range of offers is $4000 to $6500. With that said, all opinions are subjective, but feel free to offer what you believe this car is worth. And to Pink Godzila, I can't find any leaks.. I sprayed a shitload of break cleaner with the engine on and looked everywhere... all I found was the EGR valve was stuck completely open.

This is zilvia. I would guess that there is a low percentage of college students and even lower percentage of those with a respectable degree.

In my personal opinion, Kouki's are not going down in value anytime soon because there is always someone who is not a cheap ass, who WILL pay a premium to have one, especially if it is clean. Let the haters hate and the dreamers dream!

Guys.. I made a new thread 2 months ago with the asking price and this thread was from March when I was debating to keep it or sell it. The reason I made this thread initially to open offers was to gauge the market interest and to my benefit, thus allowing me to come up with a asking price.

Regardless, the car is sold a month ago for my asking price in my other thread.
