uhaul 2 wheel trailer, put the drive wheels on the trailer. make sure your tow vehicle has wire hook ups and your vehicle being towed has either valid plates or a tow permit or they won't let you rent. Mine was 40 bucks for a one way of 250 miles.

or look into car moving companies to see how much they would charge, then you don't have the headache of moving it..

honestly a car transport company may cost you more than just a regular tow truck...
I'm willing to bet the cost to transport it via a transport company will be 500 dollars or more. Ditto for the cost of having it transported on a rollback or tow truck, since 300 miles is probably around 6 hours of work.
It will probably be more economical to rent a pickup and a uhaul trailer and do it yourself.
Are you sure you don't know anyone with any vehicle with a trailer hitch that you can beg, plead, or cajole into letting you borrow their vehicle, or driving with you?
that would save you a wad of cash, since then it would only be the price of gas plus 40-100 bucks for the uhaul depending on the trailer, don't forget to add in the price of the bribes you had to get to convince the truck owner.
OH yeah I just thought of something. They make those devices that bolt between two cars so that you can tow another car. I don't know how much they cost but it might be worth it to either rent or buy one of those. I think if you did that you should probably disconnect the vehicle in tow's driveshaft, but thats relatively easy, just a few bolts.
good luck
