i was curious and wondering if it was possible putting an 1983 nissan datsun 280zx L28 engine into a nissan 240sx?? help:bow:

why would you want to put a 30 year old motor in to an s-chassis??
i like that its original but is it really that much better stock than a KA??

If its a turbo L28 then it will have more power than a stock KA.

Not necessarily.

But yes it is possible, didn't that Odyvia have an L28? If your'e asking for opinions, I think its one hell of a downgrade. But if you just want a cruiser with something different, then go for it!

i'm putting an fj20et in my s13. maybe he likes older engines i think it would be tight if you turbo it!

Shit you actually found one? I've only seen one in my whole time in Japan and that was in an R31.

Obviously, both engines can be fast depending on how much money your willing to spend. With an l28et the engine would cost around $300 and already have a turbo. I've seen l28et's is make 400-500hp and I heard of one that made 800hp.

I also know people who have made 270-350hp with just bigger injectors, megasquirt, a intercooler, and 10lbs of boost all with a stock turbo. Its an old engine but it still can make a decent amount of power and can pass smog if tuned right. The KA is also a good engine and can be fast aswell, which I'm sure we are all aware of by now. If its NA vs NA then I think the L28 will be faster since it has more displacement. Also it can break the 200whp mark which is hard for a NA KA24 to do.
