Brand new about $20000 for aero turbo, $23000 for the spec R. Of course plus frieght and licenceing. Much less for a used example.

!! i want one! but there having a car is SUPER expensive. theres so many taxes and things of the sort. before you can even look for a car you gotta buy a parking spot

especially owning anything bigger than a 4 cyl for the taxes. but if you gotta pay tolls and parking you might as well have a good car

And gasoline in most of Asia is expensive as ####. In hong kong this summer, I am not sure, but I think it took my friend about $50 USD to fill up a Corolla, and that's just regular.

Are you on crack? The freakin R34 GT-R has base price of around $69K Most of the time you will find yourself spending close to $80K (GT-S) for this beauty (at least for the GT-R version).

haha dude you're a bit off, you must have the yen exchange rates backwards

yes, believe it or not, motorex charges like 2x the value of a new car, and 3-4x the value of a used car in japan

mistert

and they can do that if they want because they're the only game in town, and people will pay it

Hmm I see...I know that's true, but I was pretty sure that thing has an MSRP in Japan for like $60k. Might have to go check my sources again. O well who cares I love the Silvia more . And that's my honest opinion.

The Varietta is only 18 million yen. Shit man, I need one. Stat.

($21k or so, I think)

you guys are waaaaaay off, 18 million yen is $140k US or so. maybe you mean 1.8 million yen, which is closer to 14k US. 100 yen = 75 cents US, 76 if you round up. just write out the number, cut off the last 2 numbers, and multiply it by .75

Whoops. Yeah, I did mean 1.8 mil. Uhm, thanks. =)

b/c the yen rate is always changing, a lot of ppl still do 100 Yen = $1.00, which can be good or bad, or exactly right at times.

mistert, ever been to japan? the gtr is NOT 36K. at a dealership (if they have one), it will list for over 6.5 million yen. thats 60K US. and the price will go up based on demand. cars are not cheaper over there. theyre waaay more expensive (for new cars).

mistert

thats some serious dealer markup 6.5 million yen is actually right under 50k US. still alot more than 36k, but i was going more on MSRP. unfortunately i havent been to japan yet and dont know what they want off a dealers lot. hopefully soon, though i'll be getting into the r32 variety if i do purchase a GT-R

they cost about 38k in japan for an r34 gtr but they do whats called a "market reajustment" (did i spell that right?) anywho thats just another way to say theyre ripping your ass off. they charge you what people are willing to pay. i dont know what they charge over though. they used to sell em in the uk for 80k but i dont know if they still do. i got this from car and driver

Let it beanouce that I was the first to say $60K for the R34 GT-R. The Silvia S15 s currently equvalant to $23K right now.

for a base model non-turbo s15, yes. but the specR is more expensive.
