KA24DE Lower harness on SR20DET

Is it FACT that you can use a usdm 240sx s13 (91-94) KA24DE LOWER(TRANSMISSION) Harness on a S13 SR20DET Transmission?

Im doing the swap, so please if you have any experience with this, let me know so i dont have to waste $100 on buying this:

So why do you get 2 plugs from the ka lower harness left over?

i think one is the reverse light, and the other is a sensor for the diff speeds am i right?

Since they are the same, this would work with a regular S14 KA24DE engine/transmission as well? That's a pretty good price for a new lower harness.

I figured mine out with no help. It wasn't hard at all. I'm assuming you went with a WS premade harness? At least you'll have a brand new harness and won't have to deal with old brittle wires.

The ka24de lower harness will work on the sr20det, you just have to swap out the sr20 sensors for ka ones.

^^^This...if you're gonna use your KA harness, swap the matching sensors with the SR one. You wont use all the KA sensors since the SR only need 3 sensors. You just tie off the extra plugs on the lower harness. All the wiring magic happens on your engine wiring harness. This helps alot when you're slapping on an S13 SR into an S14 chassis since the sensor plugs are different between S13 and S14s.

OK its fact, that ka24de lower harness will work. the two plugs that are left you just leave unplugged, as long as you use the ka24de speed sensor(FITS SR20DET PERFECT) you will get the right speedometer reading

I'm confused af. Okay, so the s13 sr trans has three plugs on it in total. One for the speed sensor all the way in the back then the one towards the middle of trans and then the one closer to the bell housing. I'm using the ka lower harness for the swap and I've found the little gray connector for the speed sensor. But on the ka harness I don't see the other two plugs that would connect to the middle and front plug on the sr harness. Idk if I have to splice any of the connectors onto the ka harness from the sr one but idk where to start with that since the wires are colored differently. I don't think my ka harness is missing anything because when I look online I don't see the 2 connectors I'm looking for on the ka harness either. So basically I'm having issues finding all the plugs that connect to the sr transmission except for the speed sensor. The ka harness doesn't seem to have the other 2 male connectors that I need in order to have the trans completely wired. Any inputs? This is really frustrating. I'm about to drop the motor and trans in and I'm stuck on what I thought would be the most easiest part of this swap lol.

i did mine plugged in whatever plugged together the only difference now is reverse lights dont work since there is one or two not plugged into anything

so you've left the two connectors on the sr tranny unconnected as well? Obviously the speed sensor is a must if you wanna run your speedo but I've got that one taken care of. It's the two that don't seem to match up to any of connectors on the ka harness.

All the SR has for plugs are the speed sensor, reverse and neutral switch. The extra on the KA are the 5th gear is one of them, the other one, I'm not 100% sure on. I think its the 4th gear sensor.

If you're gonna use the KA lower harness, just swap the matching sensors over to the SR tranny. That way, the KA harness will be plug and play into the sensors.
