s14 blacktop head on redtop block?

Does this work? Just bought an S13 with an s14 blacktop SR. The pistons are melted and the cylinder walls are scored up. The car came with a bare redtop block and I was wondering if I can put the s14 head on it and swap the internals?

i never herd of any one doing this, it may be possible but i would just swap internals and get new seals and barings, ect so its like you got a new bottom end for a few hundred $$ then you kno its gunna last you at least 50k. and the difference between s13 sr20 and s14 is the s14 has vvt so it may not work
