So my engine is out and I really wanna do a quick repaint of the bay white again but all the brake lines and mostly the big ass abs thing is sitting there so if I pull out the brake lines from the master cylinder to the abs actuator and completely remove the actuator out of there am I gonna have any problems bleeding the brakes or is there just gonna be a lot more air in the system to get out?

Just follow the abs bleeding procedure and you'll be fine.

So it won't make any difference if I completely remove the whole actuator and put it back in then proceed to bleed following the instructions?

Might take a little longer, but shouldnt be any different than putting a new one on.

No it wont matter, what youll have to do when you go back together with it is hook everything up and bleed the brakes normally. Go drive the car (air will still be in the abs pump) and do a few abs stops. this will push all the air from the pump to the calipers. After youve done a few abs stops, bleed the brakes again and your good.

If you're going to paint, you might as well pull everything out and do it right. Bleeding brakes isn't rocket science. Follow the procedures outlined in the FSM and you'll be fine.

Why not get rid of the ABS all together? All you need are the non-ABS front lines and 3rd brake line to connect to the rear brake block below the fire wall.

i was thinking about doing this. i have everything i need in a shell but i wanna know if it's worth it. i have j30 brakes on my car but they feel mushy and hardly feel like i upgraded. would deleting the abs change that?
