The metal track that guides the window up and down...its called a regulator, correct?
The little electric driven gear box... Its called the window motor, correct?

I bought a "regulator" from a seller in the for sale forum and I received a motor

I want To know if my definitions are correct or if I'm the one that screwed up...

Yes you are correct, the seller was the one who sent you just the window motor and not the window regulator

Yep, you're right. Seller was wrong.
