Yeah Oki's Tropicalness is great I just went to visit the inlaws last year and the car scene has def gone down since 04.
I would still love to live there as a Civi though, but I guess well see when I get to main land.

I def wanna drift but want something different.

The wife wants a Chaser. If I was able to slap in a RB25DET in an R32 and legally drive it Id rock that.

When and if I go back, I want to do a JZX100 Mark II. I still think they're the cleanest 4 door sedans out there. Buddy of mine had one, shit was buttery smooth sideways due to the long wheel base. JZX110 just looks like a giant fucking corolla to me.

Another option is C35 Laurel with an RB25 swap and 5 speed. I dont know, I got this raging hard-on for 4 door sedans right now.

You thinking about bikes? If you bring a US spec bikes, it has to be inspected in mainland. You figured if its easy to do or cheap, more folks would be bringing their cars with them to Japan. Why would I want to have my car sit in storage when/if I can bring it with me.

you can bring a car but it will need to go to tokyo for the initial JCI that costs something like $2000. it has to pass first time or you have to pay the fee again. the JCI will be good for 3 years then it will just be the normal process. plus you have to pay whatever other fees there are. it is kind of a difficult and expensive process but can be done.

Good-luck on that, prices on R32s has been spiking up due to the demand, atleast I know for GTRs for sure. I'd probably look for one with atleast an RB25 in it. But the whole rust thing is whats turning me off. Look for another 86, usually, the ones left in mainland are well taken care off (aka not rust buckets like in Oki). Then you still got unique options like C33 Laurel/Cefiros.

If I go back to Japan, I'd bring back my buddy's Sunny Truck.

Just have your sponsor call base housing to see what the occupancy rate is and whether or not they're letting people move off base.

Mike, I didnt know you were on here bro! Its Nino. Also, yea even though the form suggest you can live on base, you cant. The only people that get the option are those with one year left about. And thats only b/c they are trying to renovate all the housing. Only way to live off base is to become single SSgt or higher.

I tried doing everything I can to get off base.

Youp it just came in Friday.

I found it in Akita to the West, paid about $6,500 for it.

Engine wise yeah it stock, Coil Overs, Panasport G7 rims wrapped in some Advan Rubber 235's Front and 255 Rears, RSR front Pipe, HKS cat back, GReddy Boost Gauge and some other parts hadnt had a chance to check it out in detail yet. PO has alot of Service records as well.

Thanks Ray, It is pretty clean that it scares me cuz i never get chassis this nice lol The engines only got 78,000 Miles on it :)

I havent gotten it on a lift yet but when I had it JCI'd Kobacs mentioned a spot underneath and offered to clean it and spray an under coat on the whole under chassis.

There are little spots here and there but nothing like some of the GTR's Ive seen around here, but cant do anything til i get my tools from TMO.

First thing I would do to it is rip the intake manifold and replace all the hoses, vacuum lines under there. Thing's are a fucking pain in the ass. These things have almost as much as a rat's nest of vacuum lines as a damn FD.
