helloooo folks!
I would like to share my short film starring my cousin and his PY ITR.
Hope everyone in the zilvia community can relate to this video.

"The Challenge" is an homage to a classic silent film. There are no audible conversations - only imagery, ambient sounds, and text slides tell the story. With the Honda Type R Challenge hosted by Raceline USA occurring the weekend of filming, we decided to use this event as part of Xuan's experience as a driver during the film.

heres a link to the video

enjoy!!

if any has any pointers or positive criticism, please share!

Storyline was cheesy, video opening with that awful music was... awful, racing part of the video should have been longer and more detailed... the car is well put together and is super nice for what it is. Overall I'd say the video sucked (IMO) and lacked passion/excitement. No I can't do better than you, but since you're doing it you might as well do something more exciting...

what song is that in the background sounds familiar.. is that final fantasy?

i thought the video was pretty cool. just change some of the music and itll give viewers a better vibe.

Not gonna lie car looked good. Video was not what I expected. I give a C+. The end was the best part.

I liked it. It wasn't the usual AW or T2 films we are all used to seeing with in your face edits set to an underground rap track. I think some of your edits could use some refinement, both sound and video splices, but overall, I thought it was original and worth watching.

it wasnt a bad video, but ya the music definitely gave it a sorry tone, maybe something a little more hyped up....

The pace of the film was consistent throughout, so if you felt like you wasted the first 30 seconds watching, the next 7 and a half were on your own dumb ass.

video needs more vtec, slightly less scenery, and IMO swapping the type R spoiler back on instead of the clothes line unless that thing seriously does something.

im guessing you're referring to the J's Racing CF wing?

I liked it. It is different then the typical dubstep drifting videos we typically see.

loved it. i think people on here dont like it just because its a honda. thats why they are being so critical. if it was a video of some cookie cutter slammed, flush, wide, cambered, poked, rocket bunny, 18 inch, 240 then they would be jocking you. most people cant even comprehend what the type r did for fwd cars, and fwd road racing. screw all the haters. post it on NWP and youll get way more people that like it.

The music and storyline are far too "arthouse" to work with footage of vehicles racing. The shots lacked cohesion and there was a lack of any central style to define the video. I understand what you were trying to do here, but all these random elements and styles getting thrown about randomly is just too chaotic. Simple works much better.
