hey guys. i have an s14 with an s14 sr swap. as of now all it has is FMIC, walbro 255 FP, and 3" exhaust. well my gas milage is not the greatest. and i wanted to get a quick basic tune. i dont want nothing crazy just tune at 12psi. dont have the money to go all out on my tunning device so all i want is a basic tune to make my car reliable because its my DD. so i was thinking a piggyback and get it street tuned for now than save up to take it to the dyno...
i hear people talk bad things about them as much good things. but realisticly i dont have the money to spend 1k plus on something top of the line lol
can any one guide me here please?

Rom tune...but I'd probably throw a SAFC on top of that to lean out the fuel map a bit and get you better gas mileage. Most rom tunes are pretty rich off the bat.

If you want the car to be reliable...leave it the way it is. Dont bump the boost or anything. If you decide to get a rom tune and bump the boost up to 14 psi, you'd probably want to throw in larger injectors and a Z-maf.

Car still not reliable at 8psi :( gas milage it isn't that great. I hear people talk about having 20+ mines not even close lol

Double check your base timing and throw in some fresh o2 sensor...if that doesnt solve your issue, something else is going on with the engine. Also, only use premium gas, lower octane will make the car pull timing and make the car run like shit, with less mileage.

If you're worried about mpg on your sr, then I'm going to assume you don't foresee any plans of upgrading your turbo or wanting more power. In that case, I would suggest slapping on the stock MAF and just use the stock ecu. It will be the most cost effective and safest.
