Not sure im in the right forum or not, but i'll give it a shot. Im getting ready to put my timing covers back on and Nissan calls for a specific sealant, which i cant find anywhere. Does anybody know if there is a universal sealant that will work for my timing chain covers, upper and lower oil pans? Or does Nissan have a secret recipe for this liquid magic?
Thanks.

Honestly any sealant that I've put on there has worked good for me. I've never had a problem with any of it. Mostly use the permatex stuff though.
Just make sure the surface that your applying it to is clean.

JB weld is the best, as long as you let it cure thoroughly. it will never leak.

I always use prematex high-temp black for my oil pan/water pump.. been years, no leaks.
