Running sluggish, idles jumps from 900 to 1200 - 1500 to 200-300 randomly.
Mods are exhaust 3inch and headers, welded diff, egr delete.
In all gears, if im under 3k rpm it runs like a turtle. I give it throttle and it takes it a second to to really get up but as soon as it goes over 3k, it takes off.

Timing, I know for sure 100% mechanical is perfect, I know how to set tdc dizzy and have a timing gun. When everything is at tdc and I get my timing gun out, the timing pin is wayyy to the left of the notches on the pulley. If I set it as far advanced as I can I can reach the tdc notch on the pulley

I had a thought and flipped the dizzy 180 so "tdc" is at 4 instead of 1. Then I just put the plug wires in reverse order 4321. So that the 180'd dizzy new tdc is still at cyl 1. I started it and boom it ran way better and the pin lined up with the notches and I was able to set it to factory 20° btdc. Since it ran better than before I hadn't noticed but do now. It still runs a bit slugg. I know the dizzy sprocket is a 13 tooth this giving no "true" 180, but I need to figure it out.

Help, flame, free hugs, cool story bro, whatever... Its all appreciated.

One thing I just thought about, move plug wires to proper places? Also, not burning coolant or oil.

I have a couple videos on upper and lower timing if you wanted to make sure the chain was right, but it does sound like you had the dizzy 180 degrees out.

You can stick a heal bar or long screw driver in no1 to 'ghetto' find TDC on number one, then just make sure you have the dizzy lined up where it should be and the wires going to where they should be. aka, proper firing order.

You probably have already figured this out by the time you read my post.
