^^"could use a paint job" is quite the understatement, Anyhow, what is the ballpark mileage on the engine? And how long have you had the differential welded for?
-I'm also assuming, based on your recent posts, that this is more of a "track" car and not your dd, so how beat up is the trans?

(I have an 08' Mazdaspeed3...which kinda sounds like it meets what you're looking for)

it was my dd until my ka died and then i decide i should do a sr swap, had it in for a couple of months drove it to school and back thats about it

-tranny is still good never grind

-the welded diff i had it for a good 2 years

-since i had the motor under 5000 miles really didnt drive it much just to school school it was like 4 miles from my house
