Alright got a question. So im driving my 240 s13 SR blacktop around town, its driving fine for about 15 mins. Then it died at and intersection and wouldnt start, had to push it into a gas station. Let it sit for a min and then it started right back up and drove fine until i got home. I just changed the fuel pump and it said it was getting 40+ psi fuel pressure, but when it was sitting at the gas station it said it was only at about 20. Does anyone have any ideas what the issue could be? All info is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How much fuel was in the tank? Were you turning when this happened? Did you put the fuel sock back back on?
If you start your car, go to the back and play with the harness some. Don't unplug it, just move some of the wires around - see if the car starts to sputter.

I had just put 10 bucks in fuel so i dont imagine thats it. The car was at a dead stop no turning just idled low then died and the fuel pressure had dropped. By sock do you mean the fuel filter on the bottom of the pump? All the wires have good connection, i havn't tried moving them around or anything. Car seems to be starting and running fine now but it worries me to know that this could happen at any time.

I offer them as suggestions only from personal experience.
When I got my current car it was pretty good except the fuel stuff, which wasn't done right. Previous guy didn't put the fuel pump sock on and the wiring harness had some issues - I could move the pigtail around and the car would start to stall out.
Put a sock on and soldered in a new harness and never had the issue again.
Might just be low fuel. Maybe you parked on an incline at the gas station and the sock was able to gather enough fuel to start it up.
maybe maybe maybe.

i never trust the fuel gauge on my s13. it will show above the lowest line but sputter when doing a turn faster than 20 mph. i just use the odometer to guess how much fuel i have left or how many miles i can go. also if you replace the pump and its somehow mounted higher than the og pump, it will stop picking up fuel way before you actually run out of fuel.

Ok so I randomly had no fuel pressure this morning when i go to start. Try turning the key on and off a few times and nothing. Do the same thing a few more times and the pump finally primes and starts. Whats this all about?

One time I was having fuel system issues. My walbro was whining like a bitch. and my fuel pressure was down. so I turned my nismo fpr up to get back to 40. I still had the car falling on its face in the top end.
Turns out the gas tank had gunk in it and the fuel sock sucked it all up. Causing my fuel pump to have to work exra hard and not be able to pull enough fuel.
I would take the fuel pump out of the tank. It's easy, takes maybe an hour to do and easy to check.
If you have a walbro pump, a fuel sock off of I believe a 93 4runner v6 (3.0) will fit and is actually an upgrade over the walbro sock (bigger surface area) and they only cost about 5 bucks.
dont ask how i figured out how that would fit, took me quite some time at advanced of trying all of the socks out to see haha.

Would the ignition switch be a possible culprate for a sporadic initial prime?

sounds like a dying fuel pump to me.

Try another FPR. If not I would double check power delivery to the fuel pump

Go try moving the fuel pump harness around.

yes, it could (be the ignition), but i would do what greenwood suggested first... eliminate the little possibilities first and then go to the bigger ones, 9 times out of 10, it's a little issue....

Ok the EGI fuel pump relay is making a wierd clicking noise when trying to start, is that normal? also, is there a fuse that has to do with the fuel pump? I saw my fuel gauge jump to 40 psi for a single start then did not move after that, just sat at zero.

So I jumped pins 1 and 3 on the EGI relay and i got fuel pressure and the car started and ran fine. Does this mean my relays are bad?

sure sounds like it :)
