When purchasing a front silvia cosmetic conversion (hood, fenders, bumper, and lights)
I know that I need to make sure the bumper support and the light brackets are included.
What does the bumper support look like? is it this?

From what I understand you need the top bar that your radiator and headlights are attached to. I can't see what it's called in the picture because it's cut off, but it is usually called a radiator support.

CO S13 and Johny5, if you don't know for sure, don't speculate.
Ninja, optimally you'll have the whole bumper assy (support/reinforcement, foam and cover), headlight brackets (vertical supports on the inner side of headlamps), fenders, hood, headlamps, grille, indicator lamps, and turnsignals. Fender liners are interchangable between '180sx' front and silvia front

Sweet! looks like I'm all set to pick up the front this saturday. I just wanted to make sure I know what everything looks like, and if I missed anything.
Thanks

listen to mrmephistopheles, hes done a conversion on his wifes car, also i have done it on my car. you dont need the radiator support, only brackats you need are the head light brackets, they look similar but are dif to the ones in the diagram you have, but i have circled them also if your bumper doesnt come with turnsignals, 89-90 usdm signals will work.

Very informative, thanks for circling them in the diagram.
Looks like we'll both have aero bumpers :D . The only thing that sucks about the bumper i'm going to get is it wont' have the side grills.
After I'm done, my car will look like this, except it will have GTR grill, aero bumper, and sideskirts

Unfortunately it will be painted red to match the rest of the car for now.
The entire set is is a beautiful grey and silver two tone and I hate to have to paint over it :wtc: , but the car won't look right unless I spend thousands of $$$ to get teh color change from red to the two tone.
Thanks for the info

i have the same dilema, i looked so long for a blue-silver 2tone, couldnt find one, so i got black, i would love to paint it 2 tone, but i would want it done right, so a full strip down of the car without motor would have to be done, a little more than i want, so im sticking to black, prolly in the near future ima rattle can my conversion, im getting tired of the 5 colors. haha heres the latest picture of my car, right after i put on my new wheels

nice seats. are those s14 seats? the regular s13 ones are alright, but that criss-cross fabric is so ugly. won't change mine until I have to though. Money can go somewhere else right now, since my seats aren't ripped or anything.

Picked up everything today. One more question about the light brackets.
Are both of them suppose to be exactly the same? Shouldn't they be a mirror image of each other? a left and right side?

It will be the same, it's easier to stamp them out that way

Yeah, you don't need the support... unless you want to die
Run a search for "nokeone" (user name) and see what happened to his car... and he had the support on his conversion :P
Imagine what would have happened had he not had the support on... there is a reason why the DOT mandates crazy bumper supports here in the States :)
You can mount the panels perfectly fine w/o it, but for safety reasons I would try to get the support.
180SX front bumper support does not fit (obviouisly) so you NEED a S13 Silvia support.
Good luck NinjaGaiden; I live in Frisco also so if you need any help let me know

Thanks for the support Kazuo.
I saw your car. I was at the FRISCO meet. I was the one with the red s13 with ghetto black spray painted z32 wheels. I remember your car, it was pretty sweet with the JDM wing too. I bought the JDM wing from chineseboi.
First, I need to get the parts painted, so I'll be shopping around looking for guys who would do my parts as a weekend job. I'll keep you guys updated with pics once I start to put the pieces on.
Cheers.

Art, you dork.. he said you don't need RADIATOR support, not bumpa support! of COURSE you need the bumper support. The radiator support is something that's welded in place..

I assumed he meant I needed the bumper support and accidentally said I dont' need it, haha
