What's the difference? The place I bought it from had it listed as kouki

Zenki is 95-96 model of the vehicle itself. The engine you have is from a kouki 97-98. He is the wrong one. You are right.

Kouki s14 SR has the fins on the front of the head, similar to the black top s13 sr vs red top. Another thing I've noticed is that kouki s14 sr's have bolts for the valve cover vs nuts. Minuscule things, but the fins are the sure sign

So the company he purchased it from sold him the incorrect item?


Gonna check out my motor tomorrow. I Dont remember fins but I know it has bolts for the VC.

Sadly, many places do stuff like this.

I'm not 100% sure that the bolts vs nuts is a guarantee, but the fins are. I'd say ECU as well, but you can use a kouki harness and ecu on a zenki motor
