Seen it before, just didn't think anyone w/ a 240sx would own one. Pretty popular with the subbie crowd.

instead of getting a loud ass exhaust on a street car, how about getting a legit sport exhaust that isn't loud at all.. My cars have never been super load and I have had cat back ssystems with 3 inch piping on 2 of my cars that weren't loud.

the differences is that is just a valve that will create back pressure, and the aussie product it forces the exhaust to actually go through the muffler.

So unless you put a bypass system that once the apexi valve is closed the exhaust is re-routed through a muffler and is quite down that way, you can't really compare the product.

The dual-tip Varex muffler looks wonderful on this car. Of course, it is a matter of positioning and welding it on nicely.

Coincidentally, this week I ordered the HKS Sport exhaust. At 350-400$ shipped from most retailers, it is an almost suspiciously good deal for a brand new HKS exhaust. :)
I have wanted a quieter OEM-style catback for a while, so hopefully it will fit and sound well.

Although I still wish there were more dual-tip options available. Something that would look and fit great, and tuck up nicely right under the bumper such as the 180SX above, without having to go custom.

way different product, yah it cost more, but this actually works correctly, it suppresses the noise instead of choking it

Cool design, but fail at using a windshield wiper motor as the actuator.

I don't understand why some of you are saying you can't compare this to the Apexi ECV or how it's completely different. The point of both is to have the exhaust quieter, ie. if you're being followed by a cop or something. That's the only reason why I see someone getting either.

ECV doesnt work as well as some folks think. Until you've actually own one, you'll realize that the system fails on its premise. I've had one for over 4 yrs now and all it does honestly, is change the tone of my exhaust, not muffle it. If you have a loud exhaust, it will still be loud.

This works well since it actually muffles the exhaust.

But personally, if I get to choose, I'd rather buy the quietest exhaust in the market and just run an actuated exhaust cut out.
