View Full Version : FL REBUILT Holset HX35 turbo
I am selling my freshly rebuilt ZERO miles HX35.No shaft play mint condition. It is a T3 divided backside. These turbos handle 25+ psi all day and 500+ HP. Diesel guys beat the piss out of these @ 30+ psi for 150+thousands of miles. It is journal bearing oil cooled.
The wastegate flapper has been welded shut so you can run external wastegate. Only reason for selling is I am going with a HX40.
These turbos sell for $200-250 for a rebuildable core and $300-400 for a rebuild!
$450 shipped!!!! dont be ridiculous. PM ME

350 shipped?
Guys. Please price this turbo out. Read my description, that is what you will pay to get a core and have it rebuilt.
$350?
Think about it, $350 minus 25-30 for shipping and then paypal fees. Basically $300 for the turbo.
It cost $300-400 for a full rebuild and cleaning of covers excluding the price of a core!!!!
My price is more than fair for a basically new turbo capable of some good HP. I might even take $420 if the money is sent as a gift on paypal.

this is a really good price for a new 500+hp turbo. I just got the exact same turbo for my rb. I really like the idea of tapping a hole in the rear plate and running a bolt through to hold the wastegate flap shut.

Please. Get out of the thread since you have no apparent idea what you are talking about.
Let me first say I hunted awhile for a worthy core, paid $215. Never have I seen one for $100, sure I have seen people find them at JY's (RARELY) for around that. But they are also beat and rusted etc etc.
Please show me a place that will rebuild it for $150 that is reputable and I will buy many more turbos and have them rebuilt.
For reference, these are the average prices I have seen for rebuilding. Which includes EVERYTHING including cleaning covers and does not include shipping your turbo to them:
G-Pop Shop :: Rebuilding (http://gpopshop.com/services/rebuilding/)
Pricing I have seen in the many months of dealing with these turbos (diesel forums, nissan forums, ebay,DSM forums) excluding shipping.
Used, off a diesel with 150k + mileage $200
Used, recently rebuilt $300-350
Used rebuilt sometime in its life $250-300
DIY Rebuild $350-400
Rebuilt with covers cleaned and no mileage$400+
Realistic scenario with your labor quote:
Lets say $200 for a DECENT rebuildable core shipped to your door(realistic), quality rebuild kit $90. Thats $290, lets just add your labor quote from who knows where of $150, TOTAL $440 And you still have a turbo that does not have clean covers like mine and does not have flapper welded shut, and most likely has not been balanced.
Or
Lets split the difference of your price and my price for a core (because I have never seen anyone selling a hx35 for $100) $150, your $150 labor, and add your who knows what quality rebuild kit $75. TOTAL $375
Now add this
Still has nasty covers
Most likely has not been balanced
Still needs flapper welded shut
I am making $400 when all is said and done. You are telling me clean covers, a balanced turbo, rebuilt with quality parts by a place that is reputable, and already has the flapper welded shut is not worth $25 more than the very absolute unrealistic lowest crackhead prices? LMFAO!
I know what it's worth. If it does not sell I will keep it and use it. I am already taking a slight loss, at this price. Its basically a new turbo....

little late on this but for anyone looking for a good turbo this is def it. I run a compound setup on my 12v cummins and when it was a single setup I use to run 42 pounds daily no problems.
whoever bought this got a good deal.
