View Full Version : Steam Coming Intake Manifold, Coolant Loss, Overheating?? SOHC KA24

Exactly as the title says. I've got a SOHC KA that just recently overheating.
I'm pretty sure steam is coming out from where the intake manifold meats the block, but I dont know for sure.
The night it overheated and started steaming I burnt through all my coolant. Steam smells strongly of coolant too.
When I shut it off after its been steaming it makes a long consistent hissing sound; again coming from the intake side of the motor.
Any ideas as to what this could be? Coolant line leak? Headgasket?

check all of the hoses on the intake side, including the heater hoses

One of your lines under the manifold got a hole on it...hope you didnt fuck the engine up when it overheated.

heater hose for sure.. i just had to replace all of mine.

what kinda damage can be done to the motor?
