You cant use the USDM bumper support for the JDM bumpers anyways...too big. You'll have to cut down the support to fit the bumper.

im thinking u did a kouki conversion??? since kouki is 97-98 not 95 . if so u can use the same support just need to eliminate the foam .

Doesnt matter if he did a conversion...USDM bumper supports are close to the same if not identical. The problem is that they are designed to be bigger and bulkier than the JDM ones due to US crash standards. So the bumper supports for JDM bumpers are smaller, when you try to fit them on larger USDM bumper supports, they wont fit.

Get a kouki one!! its like 75 bux brand new from the nismo shop and if you purchased one like you stated if theres a V in the middle of it they gave you a zenki one!!!

Nissan Factory OEM Kouki Front Bumper Retainer 62290-80F00 - Nissan 240SX S14 KOUKI (http://www.thenismoshop.com/Nissan-Factory-OEM-Kouki-Front-Bumper-Retainer-62290-80F00--Nissan-240SX-S14-KOUKI-_p_438.html)

do some reaserch and look up if they gave you the wrong one

cutting it is ghetto and might not even fit right.... pluss the kouki one is more forward towards the center if i recall

that is a link to a Retainer, not a bumper support.

Thats not the bumper support, thats the retainer. The retainers are specific to Koukis and Zenkis. Basically you match the retainer to the bumper you're using. The holes on the retainer matches with the holes on the plastic bumper mounting points. The large bar that holds up the retainer is the bumper support we're talking about.

But to be technically correct...there is no such thing as a bumper support. The metal "bumper support" is really the bumper. The plastic "bumper" we put over the metal bumper is a "bumper cover".

PS: IIRC, on my first S14...all I had to do was cut half or so of the ends off the metal bumper. I'm pretty sure I didnt have to trim the middle section for anything to fit my FRIENDS bumper.

maybe then i got lucky on my 98 coz all i did was take off my USDM bumper, remove foam and slap in the JDM bumper. he can try and see if he can loosen the bolts on the frame rail where the bumper support ( metal ) is attached to push it in a bit more and maybe itll help create some room for it to fit better.

I thought the USDM bumper retainer was the same as the JDM one. I don't know though..
