a fan is a motor, so polarity on the two wires is all going to depend on which way you want the motor to spin...hope this helps

So ... the two wires will be for + and -... One wire is grounded, or attached to your negative terminal on the battery, and one is positive. Now keep in mind I am leaving a bunch of stuff out but that should get your mind working. If your putting in a manual switch, it goes on the positive lead of the fan, if your letting it be set via thermostat it needs to have the thermostat relay in the positive lead in order for your ecu to tell the fan when to click on. What ever you do, do not just wire it up to the + and - on the battery or your have one really neat wind generator always on... hope this helps.

I need something for dummies I know other people bought this mishimoto aluminum radiator, fan shroud. And thermostat kit. I just need a simple easy way to wire up to where it kicks on when it's supposed to. No switch and no wiring into ignition to where it's on 24/7 I want it like if it came factory. Thanks

Dude its really easy Google it and I promise you will find a spoon fed step by step on how to wire your new relay and your fans will come on whenever the temp gets to a certain point

here it is for anyone else... he ordered an electric fan, didnt come with any thermostat relay or wiring, I SEARCHED and found maybe 15 different posts with how to's, so here it is for anyone else in the same situation,

Let me google that for you (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=240sx+wiring+thermostat+relay)
