Thanks in advance guys.

You waited just over 3 hours before posting again saying "ANYBODY". You think people are here all the time just to answer YOUR questions? hell, there should be a zilvia hotline so questions THIS important can be answered immediately. Silly n00bs. I bet you didn't turn a single wrench on that SR install. In that 3 hours, you could have figured out the answer to this question yourself...

I was asking for a friend, The dealership didn't have a clue...
I saw with the amount of traffic that hopefully there would be some quick responces...the post for "ANYBODY" was to keep it at the top...I didn't mean to make any body mad. Sorry. Hope you feel better.

Try calling or riding to car part places(like Advance Auto,Carquest,Autozone...etc),alot of times they can cross reference their house-brand fluid to the nissan stuff, and usually have different levels of quality, wich would mean different prices...

DSC you can kiss my ass! I have done the install on my own. Just asked a simple question looking for a simple answer. If you feel that im such a nOOb and you are the mesiah of SR's why didnt you just answer the question instead of being a dick? i would have takin less time.:mrmeph:

Amsoil, Redline, Mobil 1, Valvoline, etc....they all make fluid for you.

I personally run Amsoil Series 2000 Full Synthetic 75w90 GL5 MT1 in my SR tranny. It's about $9 a quart. You need to order 3 quarts because it's about 5.2 pints (2 pints in a quart).

Eric

P.S. Since you're having such a hard time... www.amsoil.com

We're talking about tranny oil, not motor oil. Anyways, I'd recommend Redline MT90.
I find it ironic that you say you installed your SR motor, yet you don't seem to have a clue when it comes to gear lube. I think if you have enough knowledge to fully install and get an engine running you should have somewhat of a knowledge about what kind of tranny oil you need. I'm sure DSC thought the same thing.
You don't 75w-85. In fact, I've never even seen that on store shelves. Just get some 75w-90.

I appreciate the help guys. As for the 75w-85 that is what Nissan told me ran in the KA tranny so i assumed that it would be the same for the SR. I have done the swap on my own and i do posses the knowledge to install a motor, however, i am new to the Nissan world so i wasnt aware if they used a special "NISSAN" only tranny oil. I know Honda has a special tranny fluid so again i assumed but i guess i just made an ass of myself sorry.

no problem. i'm not sure why your dealer told you 75w-85...but whatever. i guess nobody buys the Nissan fluid, so we're all just used to talking about 75w90.

anyone find it funny that they sell Nissan oil additive and Nissan fuel system additive but in the owner manual it says not to use either of these whatsoever?

NEWSFLASH: hondas are not nissans, nissan transmissions can use any high quality or low quality if so choose to go cheap 75w90/80w90 oil.i do however feel sorry for you that you had to go all the way to a dealer to figure this out.

bg syncroshift is good rather pricy but it's worth it.
royal purple makes maxgear and syncromax
redline has too many for me to remeber them all. But at 11 bucks a quart bg won't seem that much more the other guys are less then 11 bucks a quart.
