Congrats on looking for a 240sx, just take your time and don't bother with anything rusty.

Yeah, funny thing... people hate answering the same thing over and over again....
There's a wonderful search button up top on the bar, and also there's always google.... only 10 umpity billion sites out there with info on the 240...
Don't get me wrong, i think it's great you're interested in the car, and doing stuff yourself, just don't go onto a forum and post simple questions without looking around first to find your own answers... people will get very irritated :D
Also, there is a http://zilvia.net/f/chat/297481-small-questions-thread-search-first-use-instead-making-new-threads.html?highlight=small+questions .... Post in it to find info that would be a waste starting a new thread for ....
Hope that helps in some way, if nothing else, to keep you from getting your ass bit off :D

Lurk and read threads in here. Thats how I freaking learned. I read the fuck out of Zilvia. If something I read didnt make sense to me, I either posted up to ask for clarification or I PM'd one of the guys who seem to know what they're talking about.
Now its the other way around, people PM me to ask about certain things that they figured I know my way around...I'm more than happy to help them out cuz atleast it shows that they have the initiative to learn on their own instead of asking to be spoon fed.

thats some good info, i already have my plans laid out and i dont think its difficult to start but i dont see much good info on how to improve yourself and your car, especially for the average person because anything is easy with a lot of money.

Not all of us are straight baller with thousands of dollars laying around. If you will take the time to look around, you will find that many of us are building and enjoying our cars on a budget, saving up for parts, and busting our knuckles because we like to. There are tons of budget build threads and inexpensive ways to enjoy your 240, you just have to look around a bit. So, please stop whining.

If you want to learn how to work on engines, you will first have to learn all of the parts and be able to identify by name. You can start by downloading the work manuals at this site www.240SXTECHDVDS.org Home Page (http://www.240sxtechdvds.org/) it also has videos that you can buy, which are very helpful for visual learners. Good luck. This road is very long, but soon rewards you very well.

Op are actually being nice to you in this thread.... And what nissanfreak mentioned is right. Take what pl say as advice and criticism not as something personal else you won't get far or learn much.
If its your first time with a schassis then look for something that doesn't need much work or plan to have a second car to beat on daily. Be patient and don't jump on the first 240 you find that seems "good" to you
