The Bad: The speedometer doesnt work It is an 86, it is not perfect but in good shape. Oil leak from Rear main seal. Not bad I just keep my eye on it.
The Good: -86 Base model (lightest made) RX-7 ~2650lbs -Clear title in hand. -LT-1 from 95 transam -manual steering rack (steers nice) -t-56 6-speed -Turbo II brakes -4.10 Turbo II rear end -Slotted rotors up front -Nt-01 275's on the rear -Polyurethane subframe and diff mounts -a book of receipts -Wilwood Slave cylinder. -Fiberglass wide body fenders up front -Carbon fiber hood -Overfenders rear
LT-1 with CC306 cam from a 95 transam with ported heads, 1.6 rockers, intake manifold, electric water pump, MSD ignition, Headman headers, ARP head studs. 30k on bottom end 2k miles on top end. Strong engine. Lightened flywheel, stiff clutch.
Dyno tuned in December at Mayhem Motorsports, they also adjusted the rockers for me. Pulled 323whp and around 360tq. Shop said it has more in it if the heads had more aggressive porting. However they vouched the engine was strong and healthy.
t-56 6speed with receipts of 1300 dollar recent rebuild. ~3k miles since overhaul, shifts great no grinds.
Aluminum Drive shaft with Spice U-Joints.
Tokico adjustable Gas Struts.
Car has run a best of 12.4 at the track without launching before the tune!
I have not had a chance to take it to the track yet.
I have had this car for 2 months. I fixed the heater on it, door, replaced the rear carpet with clean black carpet, added a factory privacy cover for the trunk, and had it dyno tuned at Mayhem Motorsports.
It is a fun car, very fast. In my opinion too fast for the street. Gobs of torque. I would estimate it gets around 25-27mpg from my gps estimates. not too shabby. It sounds plain mean.
I have a book of receipts that came with this car from the previous owner.
I am not interested in tire kickers or joy riders.
I am wanting to put this car up for trade/sell because I am looking to start road tripping across the united states, it would be nice to have a vehicle that gets around 35+ MPG and can comfortably hold my 95 pound dog and bicycles.
This car was a dream of mine to own, but I realize I need something more practical.
I am willing to look at all trades. I would ideally prefer to pickup the likes of a stock hx civic 5 speed or something of the sort. Please no projects that dont run or need a lot of work.
I will entertain the idea of a toyota or nissan pickup, 4 cylinder 5 speeds. All trades must be manual.
I will also entertain the idea of a nicely done stock sr20det swapped 240sx :240 love:
