My 240 had a custom straight pipe to a n1 style muffler on it...today i had the fart can put off and had a factory muffler put back on. this thing has two 1.5" outlets. the car is 10x quieter and it seems to have a hell of alot more low end. its so much easier to break the wheels loose. whats the deal? did i regain lost backpressure?

You regained some low-end power due to the chambers in the stock muffler not only quieting you note but also creating more back pressure.
The straight thru fart can help in the high end for a number reasons, but robs from the lower.
