Happy Sunday fellow Zilvians. :wan:

About a week ago my S13 failed emissions. In an effort to save time before trying to replace any expensive components(IACV, TPS etc.) i've narrowed down the list of possible culprits:

-Spark plugs (Checked #1, gap at ".51.)
-Spark wires (Ohms are at about 8.5)
-PCV hose (Coming from the head cover to intake; it's cracked and leaking oil)

I'm also concerned with an idle problem i had during the summer(Well still have actually, but it was more of a problem back then.). Whenever i would turn my A/C on my car would either drop below 500 RPM or just totally die when i let go the gas to stop at red light or just stop in general. I adjusted the throttle cable to set my idle at about 1,000. This was just a temporary solution so i wouldn't die of dehydration in the Arizona heat, i went to emissions like this though. Any chance this could make my car fail emissions?
The other thing is i tried readjusting the cable back to normal but now it won't go back! I start the car(I have to gas it sometime so it won't stall, any input on this?), and it idles normal at 700 but when i gas it and let go it never drops down under 900-1100.
I was thinking of cleaning the throttle plate and maybe changing the IACV and/or TPS but it's kind of an expensive solution to start with.

Am i on the right path to pass emissions? Any help would be awesome i need to pass because i'm running on 30 day tags and this is my DD!!
If i remember i failed the load and idle Hydro Carbon test and the load Carbon Monoxide test. I passed the idle Carbon Monoxide test.

search for the thread "how to pass smog". you can clean the throttle plate with a can of carb cleaner and a steel brush and a rag. high hc is caused by unburned fuel. check your ignition system and replace your oxygen sensor.

What's replacing my O2 sensor going to do?

if the o2 sensor is bad, the engine would run rich.

AZ doesn't check for Nox, just HC and CO.
Also i don't think my car is running rich.

Also it doesn't seem to be misfiring, the tailpipe sounds steady
