Let's see here. Hmmm, literature that tells you all about your 240sx. Hmmm, nope can't think of anything except for maybe a Factory Service Manual that would tell you about your whole damn car down to the last bolt but I'm not sure if that's what you are looking for.

the fsm is a good idea for any 240 owner, but it's not going to give you a step-by-step for removing/installing an engine, but if you flip around in it enough (which is going to be quite a bit) you could probably figure out everything that connects to the engine. lol i think mine says 'remove all connections from the engine; hoses, wires, etc. before removal' (paraphrased :P) and thats about it. s13 fsms are quite cheap i think. u might be able to download one off the net somewhere.
edit: check heavythrottle.com's sr20det install. yes, i know you are not doing a sr20 install, but you can definitely glean some useful information off there. for instance they have the ka harness wire color/device use table which will be pretty helpful i imagine.

Ummmmm, my FSM tells me how to remove the engine. It's under the section "Engine Removal", in the EM section, EM-33 for all '96 FSM users. EM-34 beings the "step-by-step" for removing/installing the engine:
1. Remove Transmission (Refer to AT or MT section).
2. Remove engine under cover and hood.
3. Drain coolant from both cylinder block drain plug and radiator drain cock. (heh-heh, I said cock)
4. Drain engine oil from drain plug of oil pan.
5. Remove vacuum hoses, fuel tubes, wires, harness, and connectors and so on.
6. Remove front exhaust tubes.
7. Remove radiator and shroud.
8. Remove drive belts.
9. Remove air conditioner compressor and power steering oil pump from engine.
10. Install engine slingers to cylinder head.
11. Set a suitable hoist on engine slinger.
12. Remove engine mounting bolts from both sides and then slowly raise engine.
13. Remove engine as shown.
There are even pictures to help guide your way. And obviously, if you're putting it in, you go the opposite way.
And because the FSM kicks so much ass, you can pretty much find detailed instructions and pictures for each one of those steps, as long as you know how to look in the index and find stuff *cough* search *cough*.
Of course, there are easier ways to do this, but for somebody who's doing this the first time, it's a good list to follow.

lol... i admit it. i was too lazy to go through. i bought it with the intention of studying and memorizing the whole thing but i couldn't get past the first section. then winter hit and the rest is history. its been sitting in my otherwise useless backseats for months now. anyway good looking out. i got pwned :wtc:
