ya well I guess Vietnamese parents are just bad news. My ex's where Vietnamese and she go this crazy idea that she would be able to spend more time with me if I met her parents. hahahahaha

I jumped on this bandwagon late, but oddly enough, there is an almost indirect ratio between how much the parents like me, and how long the relationship lasts. &nbsp;

Generally, all parents have liked me, which is pretty cool (one friend lies and says she's going out with me when she isn't so her mom'll let her out of the house) (whatever), but this one girl that I went out with for years has parents that didn't like me until long after we were broken up. &nbsp;Her sisters even suspect they want us back together now. &nbsp;Too little, too late.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, the mother of a girl I had a crush on once liked me so much she would flat-out encourage her daughter to dump her boyfriend for me. &nbsp;No luck there, but the support was appreciated.

Anyway, I'm not sure how good a judge of character parents really are. &nbsp;I'm the same guy to every girl, but get a different reaction from her parents about it (like the mother of the girl who hated how late I kept her out even though the rest of her family even commented to her mother that they never remember seeing her happier).

The bottom line is that parents can sometimes want a little more than the best for the children. &nbsp;To some extent, this is fair. &nbsp;But, to another, the ones who hold you up to an unnattainble ideal, well, they're just annoying.

But don't wish them dead. &nbsp;Seriously. &nbsp;Not even jokingly.
