The other day, I get in my car to head to work.
I notice that my wipers gave a little, then went off just once.
I reverse out of my driveway and it does it again.
It's been doing it for the past couple of days :wtf:
I recently noticed that it does it mostly when I apply the brakes.
It will usually stop when I'm constantly moving, but it gets annoying
throughout the day, as I drive quite a bit.
I'm new to the mechanics world, and I am definitely no electrical
wizz... got any ideas???

going through this as well. lol weird part is that my rear defrost button lights up when applying the brakes. a day later while heading home from work someone gave me the heads up that my brake lights aren't lighting. it was raining. i checked the fuse which i did go out. bought a fuse kit 20 of 15a fusses. results have failed. i was going through my FSM and had a thought for the Fuse block or fuse holder. check the fuse block and found some melted fuse where the brake lamps fuse sits at. but the first step people do is check for fuse- but having to repeatedly replace fuse mean there something wrong with the wiring. in this case I'm having. inside the contacts are burned out.

You have most likely rubbed through your wheel well wiring.

^^^ That's what I'm thinking. ^^^
Check the left side fender harness. Your tires most likely rubbed though. The wipers are usually the first thing to go wrong when that happens.

+1 on harness
If thats not it, then that green box on the driver side by the master cyl is going bad.

had the same problem, if its not the wheel well wiring then open ur hatch and check the top right for that harness the wires usually corrode and tear from closing and opening the hatch.

update: took the fuse out for the wipers because I got annoyed. Not too long after, my turn signal bulb blew out. Forgot to mention that earlier in the week, my turn signal blew out and thats how the whole thing started. Changed the bulb and changed the fuse for the turn signals and put back the wiper fuse. things seem ok for the moment. Also, checked the well because I took off the cover and thought that might be it, but the harness is untouched and in good condish. I'll post another update in a few days and see if it was just the fuses.

Not sure if my problem is the well harness rubbing but my wipers work with key on and no engine . Don't work when engine is running
