i just bought a 1993 nissan 240sx and i needed a slave cylinder for it so i bought a new one and put it in and bled it and it works but when i press the pedal down it comes up by itself but towards its way up it stops a little after the clutch engages so i have to use my foot to bring the pedal all the way up. Any ideas on what this might be?

need to bleed it some more. get rid of the clutch damper also. it`s the part that is between the slave and the master that is bolted on the floor board.

i would replace the whole line system with a auto to man clutch line. its works great and gives you great peice of mind. way better than multiple connections that will leak at any given moment.

Removing that damper is a great idea, also have you tried adjusting where the clutch engages? It probably needs bled more but adjusting the engagement is like a final touch up.

Yeah you need to remove it first, and if your car is super low don't just leave it hanging there like i did, i can't reach it and forget to remove it everytime i jack up the car.
