I am trying to find the best way to build a as tough rear end as possible for reasonable money and i therefor wonder if i could buy an aftermarket R33GTR diff from for example KAAZ,CUSCO and then put it in my original S14 oem R200 diff housing and then also fit the stub shafts from a R33GTR diff. Would all this fit?

Together with this "cusom" diff my plans then are to use R33GTR axles and Z32TT 32 spline hubs.

Would this work or are the R33 GTR R200 diff housing different to the one used in the S14?

Doubt it would work...GTR rear ends are physically larger than S-chassis rear end. GTR rear ends are R205. You'd be better off changing to a GTR subframe and running the R205 rear end all together with the GTR axles and hubs.

Motoiq made a nice article about building a bulletproof transmission. You might want to check it out.

Yah, until you start twisting the axle input shaft to the hub like a pretzel.

I have heard that the outputshafts are the weak link. I have wondered about the possibility of them being made out of billit steel, or even cryo treating the stock ones, not that i really should need to worry about it.
