Never Ending Project S14

The story with the car as to how I ended up with it was when I had my 91 MR2 Turbo that had some work into it along the lines of a Turbonetics T3/t04e turbo, suspension, etc. So I ended up blowing that car up and since it was my DD obviously, I need another car while I built the engine for the MR2. Wanted a decent RWD car, always loved Nissan’s so I thought, I’m look for a 240. Found a decent S14 in Indiana then drove up and got it for a decent price of $2300, yes it’s a Zenki with a Kouki front bumper

Drove it like that for a while but just wasn’t digging the color so I wanted to try my hand in painting myself so I tried out the duplicolor stuff from autozone.

Got sick of the oxidized lip on the 18” wheels so I resprayed them all black. Also did the lug nuts some orange color cause I’m a ricer like that lol

About at this point I started to like this car a lot more than my MR2. Even though the MR2 had over twice the hp, this car was just more enjoyable to drive and was a lot more practical. So I decided to say screw the MR2 and parted it out and bought stuff for the S14. So the next thing I purchased was a turbo manifold so I could toss my Turbonetics I had left over from the MR2

That just ended up being a bust cause the 240 was an auto to manual swap and the BMC wouldn’t clear the turbo enough for me to use it ….. FACK!!!!

So then it was about time for me to get tires and I hated the look of the 18”s so I looked for rims instead and found me some 962’s for cheap

So back to the garage it went got some nice stuff from the same guy like a full sub frame with solid bushings, some control arms, etc.

Talked a buddy into give me the exhaust cam off his S13 to do the 248/232 configuration with the cam gear re-drilled to 3.5 teeth

A little while later I got a bad ass deal on some megan coilovers

Installed the coil overs along with some of the other suspension parts and some HID’s I had and then got sick of the green wheels and sprayed them bronze, also did some bondo work on my car to get ready for a re spray to a more glossy white since I didn’t clear the duplicolor the first time I sprayed it.

Sold my Kouki side skirts for $150 and bought some Explorer skirts for $12 at the junkyard lol

I was at the junkyard getting some parts with friends and seen that Oldsmobile Alero foglights weren’t too bad looking so I snagged them for $20 and threw them on the S14... Not bad imo

I’m a pretty strong supporter of DIY and making things before buying them, so I wanted to see what the big deal was about a hydrolic hand brake so I made one from a clutch master cylinder from a Honda.

I always thought that the smokers teeth headlights ruined my front end after I painted it so I had to fix it cheap, didn’t have the money to buy new clear lenses so I read about making them online with a vaccum box and thought I’d make my own and give it a shot…… DIY FTW!!!!

Sanded the lip of the 962’s, and got an OEM accord rear lip … aslo got a new phone so picture quality is better from now on lol

Back to the junkyard and grabbed some Q45 rotors and Z31 caliper brakets to make the hydro brake even better

DUUUDEEE, i love this thread! my car is a bit like this... but not quite as innovative.. damn i wish i was as smart as you haha! ghetto baller status!
i should post a pic of my trunk with full size spare and hot/glue/foam/shadow/board that holds tools lol! i even removed the OEM jack, it was just rusting out in that spot; and made it a secret oil quart holder :) always keeps it standing upright with a bit o' velcro strap.

i support accord lips, ford side skirts, and 6liter v8 swaps into 240's. nissan already fawked stuff up when they decided to bring over a 180sx and a silvia, then call both the same car... oh well nissan always wanted to be americanized, up until renault bought them out in the new millenium :D

honestly I liked the kouki bumper more than the side skirts. thats the thing you should of kept
