I have a 91 240sx,I would like to know what all goes on in the process of a front clip swap if I where to get one (off eBay)rhd front of the car! How would I go a outs doing that? Question 2what about a 1-2jzgte-jzge swap?

If you have to ask, And your asking like this. You should probably just go to a shop.
Before you get attacked ill give you a idea.
You need to-
-Cut the whole firewall out
-Weld in the new one
-Relocate everything
-Install rhd rack, dash, ect
For a 2j swap
-Mount kit
-Rewired harness
-Driveshaft
-Shiftier extension i think.
-Lots more
No less than 4k to do it right.

Also, Dont buy a engine off eBay.

K scratch the rhd for a while,
I know an sr is more of a drop in drive but what would b better 2jz-sr?? I don't want a hole lot of power out of them but around 300hp.. I like the sr iv been around them a little but not that much. I dont know a hole lot about the 2j but I know ther power monsters and I'm not really for all the power but I like the I-6.. Just asking for info ideas plz I'm going to be building my bust friends car thats no langer with us R.I.P. Rocket!! So I'm not trying to get stupid in it but I would like a turbo again!

sorry about your friend, but do research. Instead of asking how to make 300HP with an SR, look at people's build threads/setups to see how they achieved 300HP and whatnot. There are also 2jz builds on here. Look into them.

Best thing to do is to just keep reading the available information. If there's a car community in your area, get out and see other cars, what people are doing...

nobody figured this stuff out overnight, neither will you...

Are you asking which engine would be more reliable? SR or JZ? Theres soooo many factors to think of but what really important is if you have good info on a used engine and fully trust where you buy it from

if you want reliable 300hp both motors are fine. 2jz is a little much imo but people rock it. Mines a dd with a sr. if you rebuild the motor then then both will last with good tuning. it really depend on what you use the car for. i asked the same questions as you two months ago and searched my way thru it!!!

2JZ will cost a good bit more to accomplish. Both are great motors but the SR is nearly a drop-in swap (sans splicing the harness and a few other things).

It is not hard to get 300hp out of either motors. If you were looking for 500+ I may suggesting looking more at the 2J but 300hp either can do very easily. Do a proper SR swap and you'll be happy.

ya if you have bout 18 grand then go jz but if you have less than 5k go pick up a sr front clip from a shop in the area or a reputable importer in your case id get a sr easier to learn and install than any jz swap

There few option for a 300hp engine... but yeah SR would be the drop and play. FYI your question been asked numerous time, thats why your getting the negative comments or members telling you to use "search" all the info is here but you have to dig.
