They are rods on the front suspension that allow you to adjust the caster. And just since you don't know much about this stuff,

tension rod=TC rod=T/C rod=adjusts caster

and as a sidenote for your reference, tie rods are rods that adjust toe on the front suspension.

ok, in stupid ass terms [mine].
it will give you caster, i think thats how far you wheels are fwd from your strut tower. i dont knwo wat stco caster is? 5-8? so if you get tention rods, you can ppull your caster more fwd. the more fwd it is the better your car will feel at higher speeds, it will be more stable. look at BMWs they have crazy caster.

as fr drifting, it will [i think] give you more turning radius. and also help with counter steering.

what i said above [all of it] may very easily be NOT RIGHT AST ALL!!! if so please some one correct me! and if so i am sorry. but thats what i think it does.

so get some caster rods, counter steer better, make you car feel better at higher speeds, and crank the caster ALL THE WAY UP!!!

lol.. Stock caster is 6-7.3 degrees (http://charles.sykikchimp.org/quickref.html)

I run mine at 8 degrees and don't recommend running it much higher than that.

Caster will slightly increase Dynamic Camber, and will increase straight line stability. It will also increase turn in effort, and will numb initial turn-in feel. More caster = good.. too much = bad.

It doesn't help you counter steer better. It doesn't change turning radius. Some TIE RODS come with spacers that allow for more steering angle, but that has nothing to do with your T/C rods.

Silvia K's 91 - I understand your trying to help, and I'm glad you put the discliamer on there, but in the future, if you don't know, don't answer. If it happens that no one that knows should happen to see your misinformation, and correct it, then some other unknowing person may think that means you were right.. This is how misinformed rumors start on the internet. PLEASE DON'T ADD TO THE ALREADY hUGE POOL OF MISINFORMATION.

i run about 8 degrees as well, but going to play w/ 9 and see how it feels. haha..:)

anyways, yeah sykikchimp is right!
hehe..dont start rumours and give info you arent so sure on. not good

anyways, i feel TC rods should be one of the first suspension peices to buy w/ subframe spacers. :)

Isn't there a limit tho? It seems like using the tension arms to run the caster out, even a little bit, would put a lot of stress on the control arm bushings.

yes there is
so if ou like to run lots of caster, a upgrade is in order...adjustable front lower control arms :)
