I drove a turbo S-speed Beetle today. That thing is so quick it was awesome. It had a factory turbo with the reprogramed ecu chip and tweeked suspension. It was sooo much fun. I'm definately turboing or swapping now. I know it will be different on a larger heavier rearwheel car but it still has to be sweet anyway......probably even better actually. Anyway, I thought I'd share that. Fun day for me!!
do it, i did,
its the best feeling in the world
also the best sound..shooosssshhh!

I sat in a turbo RX-7 FC3S and a Supra twin-turbo on a couple mountain runs. I am convinced....boost is good as soon as they punched the gas on straight aways my back, literally slammed against the seat. It was soothing to hear "soooossshh!" o_o

Boost is awesome. I have a Talon TSi, my best friend has a turbo Civic Si, I've ridden in many a turbo car and it's very addicting. In fact, my whole crew is turbo cars. Of course my 240 will be boosted once I have the $$

Yesh, I owned, and crashed while racing, a Ztt stage 2, 340 hp at the fly... I installed the apexi bovs myself. Turbo is the only way to go.

ive driven an eclispse and i whored a few cars out there with it. stock except for an exhaust intake. i whored a 91 turbo supra. sucker
I remember buying my Silvia and Domenic my friend who was selling it to me lets her warm up for 5min then go's punting off down Parramatta Rd in Sydney (a regular racetrack for aussies) and hooks it through the lights with this massive 4 wheel drift, drops it back a peg to third and we're doing 135km/h in a 60zone.
"you want a go?"
"F*ck yeah!"
So I get in the drivers seat and we're away, its much faster and lighter than my V8 so Im not as used to the huge G's and the concept of boost. Hit the first right turn through a set of lights in second gear, boost cuts in half way through and sends her arse sliding, screaming and smoking 180degrees before I stop in the intersection.
One of the many embarrassing moments of my life with all these oldies sitting there in their bimbo boxes "tsk tsk, bloody young people"
I bought it anyway <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

my friend with the Z has a minivan. well it's his dad's it's pretty quick for a van because it's turbo. instead of the 300zx or the 240sx to go cruising on the blvd, we took the "vanimal" it's called. only raced a grand am and a v6 mustang and beat them but it was fun. after the race with the grand am, the guys passenger was laughing at him and he was pissed. the weird thing is, is that when you hit the gas, the tires won't start spinning until you're doing about 15-20 and the turbo is spool. and that's with a 3 speed auto. his dad puts in the cheap 87 octane too. i thought of buying it from him and turning it into one of those 12 second sleeper mini vans.

Not quite "blah." I drove my sister's '02 WRX, wicked fast and way fun to drive. But, I still like getting behind the wheel of my s13

I've got the "end all be all" of driving turbocharged cars for you guys. I friend of mine with too much money (a sod farmer at that) likes to build up J-spec cars. In his stable are a Civic Type-R Replica, a WRX (JDM), and now a JDM Nissan Pulsar GTiR. I got to drive the Pulsar a couple months ago. WOW is all I can say. The AWD Turbo pulls you up to 80mph before you even realize it.
Oh yeah...and I test drove a WRX. Those are the only turbo cars I have ever driven, but I have ridden in a 700whp Supra and a 300ZX TT. I don't think the 300 had any engine mods though. This was way back in like 1994.

haha ya, it shows him beating a z28 i think. it's an 80's dodge caravan is what the turbo minivans are.
